Nine Months!

Oh this baby is getting big! We had a fun January, and though she didn’t start any new diets Claire has been on a workout plan: Explore Everything.

She’s sitting, crawling, standing and babbling. Even last week she started ‘walking’ along the couch, moving her hands, then feet as she stretched to reach whatever interesting things she can find. And she does find LOTS of interesting things. Leaves. Magazine pages. Remotes. Anything that is not your standard baby toy, she loves. Don’t get me wrong, she’ll get distracted with a talkative teddy bear, but nothing is more Kryptonite to this baby than an iPhone cord.

And all of that playing wears a baby out. Claire has been a sleep-a-holic on weekends because she has been taking barely an hour of naps at daycare during the week. At night, she can barely keep her eyes open.

All of this sleeping has been compounded by the perpetual motion during wake times. Watching her climb and play has been so much fun.

Trust me, I’ve tried with the toys. I bought her this moderately priced, bouncer/walker and… she hates it. She won’t sit in it at all. But… she’ll play with the outside. It’s perfect height for baby.

And you know she’s tired when she lays her little head down on your lap. She just is so tuckered out!

Visitors!

We had a couple Okies come visit us this month! Great Aunt Nancy, and Cousins Jamie and Garrett came all the way from OKC for a wedding and we got to catch up and get some baby snuggles!

9 months old!

Her 9-month birthday was conveniently on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. I was working from home, and I just have to say, it’s almost impossible with an infant. My productivity was very limited. Even at nap times, you’re washing bottles, picking up toys… props to all those work at home mommas and stay at home mommas.

She was not so jazzy about taking pictures this month. She wouldn’t lay down next to the message board, so we did mostly seated pictures. As a matter of fact, I feel like I should share her blooper reel (pics at the end).
