12 Months – The big O-N-E

Hip-Hip-Hooray, Claire had a big quarantine Birthday! We had a lovely birthday party planned, complete with cake and lots of family and friends. Except for this lil’ global pandemic, flights cancelled, city on lock down thing. But we didn’t let COVID-19 spoil our fun, we smashed a cake and sang happy birthday anyway on a big zoom with everyone we could gather.

Missed it? Here’s a video of her little party

And possibly my favorite comparison of the smash cake experience:

And, we took the last of her first year monthly photos! This little one has changed so much, from tiny newborn to chunky and strong one year old. We love seeing how she has changed!

And, those one year photos couldn’t be any sweeter.

Oh, here’s the sass.

To be honest…. there we about 100,000 photos needed to get those few sweet ones above. She’s a happy kid, but resting baby face carries on into pre-toddlerhood

James and I celebrated our 4th Anniversary

We had a lovely little Easter at home

But mostly we’ve just been hanging around.

Kissing

This thing is the best for teething… mesh popsicle, add frozen bananas

And teething…

My friend Rose shared with me the ultimate teething tool 🙂 Beef Jerkey (no she doesn’t eat it, just chewy)

And bear crawling…

And stroller riding…

and swinging

And when we get too much tunnel vision…

Breaking quarantine

Well, Texas is starting to come off the lock down. I can’t say whether it’s right or wrong, time will tell. But I did take the opportunity to get a small change of scenery in Dallas. We did double duty celebrating mother’s day with my mom and my dad’s birthday. But mostly, a nice refreshing trip for mommy.

And Richardson was BLOOMING! We were lucky to catch the wild flowers in bloom. We caught a few wildflower pictures while we visited.

And, there were a lot of photos needed to get these good ones.
